May 2021 – A Month of Sheer Hard Graft

With the lifting of lockdown restrictions, the teams are now back on site at Sandfields Pumping Station.

There are a number of jobs that are showstoppers and need completing. These jobs are both significant and challenging, both from a technical prospective and just the weight of effort needed to complete them, sheer hard graft.

We are very proud of the fact that when it comes to hard graft, our teams are always up for the challenge and never shy away from anything new. The teams see these technical and physical challenges as an opportunity to learn something new, to take ownership of the problem and end the day with a sense of achievement.

Our first challenge was to repair the sewers after the had been damaged during the constriction of the adjacent housing estate. This work has now been completed and the block paving’s reinstated to such a high standard that you would never know we had been there.
