Team Work

Just look at the improvements the team are making at Sandfields Pumping Station.  In March 2016, the situation looked dire….

We were of the opinion that the unique Cornish Beam Engine would not have survived another two winters.

We are now into the first month of a second of two six licences to enter the building agreements. The work teams are there each Friday from 10:00am till 12:00 noon, and in a already they have made a significant change.

The work continues on a weekly basis, all done by volunteers from differing backgrounds, who are working together as a team, supporting each other, and leaning new skills.

What’s not to like about industrial heritage

About morturn

Historian – Photographer – Filmmaker Retired construction professional with a passion for public, social and industrial history. I believe in equality, dignity and integrity for all. Don’t like people who try to belittle the ambitions of others. I am of the opinion that my now life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.
